The German Open Championships (GOC) took place in Stuttgart from August 7th to 11th. Next to the Standard and Latin dances, the Boogie Woogie World Championships for Juniors, Seniors and the Main Class were hosted in the Culture and Congress Center Liederhalle. On Friday,  Stéphanie Arnaud & Stéphane Martins won Gold for France in the Senior category and  Emma Söderlund & Tobias Ramberg from Sweden are the new World Champions in the Junior category. On saturday, the Boogie Woogie Main Class fought for the title, seeing  Sophie Allaf & Thomas Audon win the second gold medal for France. Among the Seniors,  Stéphanie Arnaud & Stéphane Martins come out on top before their french team mates and last year's Champions  Laurence Nograbat & Raphaël Dupas. The bronze Medal goes to  Patrizia Agati & Gianluca Burbassi from Italy. Last year's silver and bronze medalists  Versteegen/Eichhorn (Switzerland) and  Bares/Karim (France) reach places 4th and 5th.

The Main Class mixes the podium compared to previous year's World Championship. Last year's bronze medalists  Allaf/Audon win Gold before the norwegian World Champions  Tatiana Georgiievska & Sondre Olsen-Bye from 2017.  Sara Victorin & Pontus Spelmans from Sweden conquer the last free spot on the podium by winning Bronze.
