The annual World Dance Gala has taken place in the Kurhaus Baden-Baden, Germany, on November, 3rd. When the Best of the Best present many dance styles, the World Rock 'n' Roll Confederation (WRRC) must not be missing. This year Main Class Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll formation Rock'n'Roll DreamTeam of the club Terpsy on the Rocks im SV Anzing and swedish Boogie Woogie and Lindy Hop couple Bianca Locatelli & Nils Andrén danced for and represented the WRRC. You can admire the videos of their shows in this article.
As World Champions of 2017, reigning German Champions and this year's World Championship's 4th-best formation the Rock'n'Roll DreamTeam performed their spectacular new choreography Rocking Aladin for the World Dance Gala this year.
Vice-European Champions Locatelli/Andrén entertained the audience with two dance shows, a fast and funny 3-minute-long Lindy Hop showdance and a Boogie Woogie performance.
In past years the "Rendezvous of World Champions" has seen WRRC couples and formations already. Such as in 2017, where hungarian formation The Szupergirls and french couple Sophie Allaf & Thomas Audon presented Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll and Boogie Woogie.
A big thank you to all dancers representing our beloved sports in the best way imaginable. We'll still need to figure out who's going to represent the WRRC in 2019, when the 25-year anniversary of the World Dance Gala will be celebrated in the same location in Baden-Baden.
