Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll is not the dance you might imagine when you haven't seen it nowadays. You might think of Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry. You might picture Suits for the guys and Petticoats for the ladies. But guess what: You're all wrong. Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll has changed over the years. This is the story the an all new promotional video of the World Rock 'n' Roll Confederation (WRRC) tells.
The WRRC has compiled a video with impressions from 2018. It presents both Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll and Boogie Woogie, includes couple and formation dance over a range of dancing categories. A lot of dancers having participated on the international dancefloor will find footage of their performances inside.
These include World Champion formations Party Team and Rock Comets, resigned couple Anna Miadzielec & Jacek Tarczylo and World Champions Darina Kozlova & Alexey Kondrashin.
The video concludes with some interviews from well-known faces, such as Lenka Richtrová & Marek Divoký, Viviane Probst & Romain Belluzzo and Olga Sbitneva & Ivan Youdin, who let us know why #WeLoveWRRC. See the video for yourself.
