Continuing the successfull Online World Cup (OWC) series from last year in 2021, the World Rock 'n' Roll Confederation (WRRC) has announced six OWCs to be broadcasted to your homes im April, May and June. On three weekends Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll (ARR) and Boogie Woogie (BW) couples and formations will compete on a saturday and sunday each.
With the pandemia not really being under control, it's just a logical step to stick to the OWC format until the situation relaxes sufficiently in most countries and safe travel becomes possible again. The first OWCs had originally been scheduled for this weekend already, but was postponed to Saturday, April 24th, and Sunday, April 25th. The WRRC came to this decision in their presidium meeting on March, 31st, since "the COVID-19 situation escalated in many European countries, resulting in new lock-downs and restrictions regarding sport and possibilities for training".
