Already since Tuesday, August 7th, the German Open Championships (GOC) are hosted in Stuttgart, Germany. Next to Standard and Latin dances the World Championships Boogie Woogie are held. Juniores and Seniors fight for Gold already on Friday, August 10th. The Boogie Woogie Main Class competes on Saturday, August 11th. There's a Livestream available and the German TV-station SWR reports on the event.
Between 09:25 am and 2pm the qualification rounds and finals will be held for the Boogie Woogie Seniors this Friday. The Juniors follow suit between 3:30pm and 8:30pm on the same day in the Hegelsaal of Culture and Congress Centre Liederhalle in Stuttgart. On saturday the World Championship Boogie Woogie Main Class will be staged between 1pm and 10:30pm.
Among the competitors current World Ranking List Leaders Mari Munne & Juho Päivinen (Main Class, Finland), Carlotta Corsi & Luca Zilocchi (Juniors, Italien) and Patrizia Agati & Gianluca Burbassi (Senioren, Italien) will be performing on stage.
The show "Sport extra" with "Tanzen Total: German Open Championships" will be broadcasted on August 11th between 11:30pm and 0:30am on german TV-station SWR, as well as in the 24/7 online TV-stream on swr.de (Links below), showing impressions from the GOC. A rendition of the show can be seen on August 12th starting 12:05am on SWR television.
