This competition is one for the history books. With some expected wins, also some surprises came along. Last saturday, 152 participants from 16 countries went to compete at the World Championship and World Cup in Lyon/France. Hungarian couple Júlia Ökrös & Attila Ancsák confirm their favourite status at the World Championship and win the Junior title. Among the ARR Main Class Free Style competitors, Couples Michelle Uhl & Tobias Bludau expectedly win the gold medal, too. The judges placed ORIGO on the 1st place among the ARR Ladies finalists after long-term champions The Szupergirls were disqualified right before the final round. Kitti Szöke & Kornél Kovács are the winners in the ARR Couple Dance Show category at the World Cup on saturday. In the ARR Main Class Contact Style final round, Daria Dmytriuk & Iegor Alieinikov led the field.
In the ARR Juniors category, Júlia Ökrös & Attila Ancsák from Hungary took the lead in a field of 39 couples at the World Championship. Coming from Ukraine, the performance of Yelyzaveta Kaverina & Heorhii Tahaibai earned them the second place. The third place is occupied by Yuliia Mikhno & Nazar Didenko from Ukraine.

Among 23 ARR Main Class Free Style Couples, the gold medal went to Michelle Uhl & Tobias Bludau from Germany. After an 8-year long break from competitions, swiss couple Ioulia Ioudina & Fabien Ropraz became Vice-World Champions after their return to the stage. Couple Marie Dvorakova & Jiří Jakubec danced to the third place for Czech Republic. Noëmi Kuran-Pellegatta & Nicolas Kuran-Pellegatta showed several insecurities in their acrobatic round which made them miss the podium in this year's World Championship.

The gold medal went to ORIGO from Hungary in the ARR Ladies danceclass, where 26 Formations participated. With their win they took the title from their national team mates The Szupergirls uncontested, because they were disqualified before the final round for having a non-registered dancer in their team. The formation Brave Girls placed themselves in the middle of the podium, bringing home Vice-World Champion title to Ukraine. ALL IN from Hungary complete the podium on the 3rd place.

Following on the second place, Naomi Laczkovszki & Gergo David Molnar from Hungary lost closely to the winners. The bronze medal travels to France together with Agathe Andrieux & Vincent Girardier.
